Crime Vocabulary

Here's some vocabulary which will be useful for your future writing assignment...
Pay attention to the highlighted words and their colors:

noun - person
verb 
noun - thing/act


A thief steals
It's theft.
He takes something that isn't his.

A burglar burgles
It's burglary.
He breaks into a building and steals stuff from it.

A murderer murders.
It's murder.
She kills someone on purpose.

A robber robs.
It's robbery.
He steals from a place while people are still there, usually using violence.

An arsonist commits arson.
It's arson.
She likes burning down buildings.

A mugger mugs
It's mugging.
He steals your stuff from you in the street using the threat of violence.

A forger forges.
It's forgery.
She makes fake replicas of things like money and paintings.

A vandal vandalizes.
It's vandalism.
He likes damaging or destroying public property.
